Hunting has been a part of Don Wilson's life for a long, long time. Starting with his Dad at the age of 10 on his grandparents farm, Don, his Dad and a shotgun were the menace of the rabbit population of Wolfe County, Kentucky. In his early twenties, Don went deer hunting for the first time and by the start of the following season had discovered his love of bow hunting. Now with two girls of his own, some of Don's greatest hunting moments are the times spent with his daughters as they learn to master the bow for themselves. Getting a 10 year old girl and a 14 year old girl up and at 'em at 4:00 in the morning may not seem like an easy task, but Don's two daughters love their hunting time alone with their dad in a blind, waiting for the turkeys or deer to arrive.
When not hunting with his two favorite protégés, Don's time is divided between his own world class whitetail hunting, guiding other whitetail hunters in his home state of Ohio, and his newest passion, nature photography. What began as a proud dad recording some of his daughters' moments of glory has grown into a passion for capturing the beauty that surrounds his time in the woods.
As a successful business owner, Don Wilson is constantly balancing his time at his company, his family time and of course, his time devoted to the hunting season. For Don, nothing ends a full day better than curling up on the couch with his family, a glass of his favorite Kentucky bourbon, and looking through his camera to relive the enchanted moments of stillness and beauty that were captured that day on the hunt.
