Art Diaz
Outdoor Photographer · Community Manager, Banded
Meet Art Diaz — outdoor photographer, relationship builder, and community manager at Banded.
Art leads with gratitude, works hard, and approaches every opportunity with intention. His path into the outdoor industry was not mapped out in advance. It was built through friendships, trust, and showing up with the right attitude.
From touring as a musician to working with Alclair Outdoors, and now stewarding community at Banded, Art’s story is proof that relationships open doors. Photography became the thread tying it all together. Wild places. Early light. Moments you cannot recreate.
What do you do, and how did you get into it?
I work in the outdoor industry full time and it began 100 percent through relationships and friendships. I worked for a hearing protection company called Alclair Outdoors, which started after a decade of close friendships that came about from my touring days as a musician.
I recently moved over to Banded Brands as a community manager after years of working alongside each other as a photographer.
When did you first discover Williams Knife Co?
A few years ago I was on the road on a hunt and came across a Williams flipper. Everything about it drew me in. I knew I had to have one.
What’s a moment where a Williams Knife played a role in your day or your work?
I always have a Williams knife on me. Whether it is the off season and I am opening mail at home or using it a hundred different ways during the season, it is always part of my everyday carry.
What does a perfect day look like for you?
A great morning hunt. Preferably some mallards in a small marsh somewhere in South Dakota. A little sun and some wind with my hunting buddies. Being done and home before the kids are out of school so I can enjoy the rest of the day with my family.
Standing around the grill or sitting by the fire with my crew.
What’s a daily ritual or habit you never skip?
Gratitude. In the world we live in now it is easy to be bombarded with negativity the moment you open your phone. I intentionally recognize and give thanks for the small things and the big things every single day.
What’s something you’ve learned the hard way?
That not every opportunity is meant for you. The right doors open at the right time when you stay patient and faithful.
What’s your go-to Williams Knife and why?
This year I put a lot of miles on my Bird Knife. From the holster to the shape and comfort of the blade, it has been my favorite addition.
What’s something about you most people wouldn’t guess?
I am the fourth generation Arturo in my family tree. And I have created the fifth generation.
What’s next for you?
Hitting the ground running in 2026. More photos. More hunting. More fun.
